Introduction - Department of Information Technology
Under graduate
The changeable development of information technology has caused revolutionary impact on science, engineering, and other fields. Facing such boom of high technology, the cultivation of information experts is of great urgency. Technologies related to information, electrical engineering, and electronics are actively developed in Taiwan that more than sixty percent of export value of output depends on products in such fields. Numerous information experts are therefore of great urgency. To correspond to the future tendency of industries, the department aims to cultivate domestic information talents, study the basic theories and the applications of information technology, and integrate information technology into other fields like mathematics, engineering technology, and business management.

Graduate
Smart life, environment and ecology, and multidisciplinary integration are the major development points for Executive Yuan. To correspond to the sustainable development of the country and the urgent demands for hi-tech talents in system engineering integration, the university applied for the establishment of graduate degree in Department of Information Technology to Ministry of Education in 2006 and started to enroll master’s students in 2007 for the demand of high technology talents in information technology application and green science and technology and environment protection.
